Companion/ Chore Services

What a Companion/ Chore Aide can do for you:

  • Light housekeeping (vacuum, dust, bath and kitchen clean-up, bed making and linen change, laundry, mopping and sweeping)
  • Meal preparation
  • Companionship
  • Conversing and reading to client
  • Playing games with client
  • Medication reminder

A Companion/ Chore Aide does not:

  • Do heavy cleaning duties
  • Assist with Activities of Daily living (ADLs). For ADLs, please refer to Skilled Personal Care services
  • Drive for clients

Skilled Personal Care Services

What a Skilled Care Aide can do for you:

  • All services under Companion/ Chore Services
  • Assistance with Activities of Daily Living (ADLs):
    • Bathing and showering
    • Dressing
    • Range of Motion exercises
    • Personal grooming and skin care
    • Toiled assistance
    • Walking and Transferring
    • Taking vital signs
    • Assistance with pre-poured medication

A Skilled Care Aide does not:

  • Do heavy cleaning duties
  • Drive for clients

Respite Care Services

  • Companion/ Chore Respite Services
  • Skilled Personal Care Respite services

Respite Care providers are unable to drive for clients

Community Access Services

Access and contact with the community is an important part in an individual’s life as it brings support, independence, and happiness. it could be the movies, the library, a walk in the park, or ride on the city bus, Island Temporary Nursing offers Personal Health Aides and Nurse Aides that have the knowledge to safely take you anywhere outside your home without worry.

Community Access may include:

  • Doctor’s appointments
  • Trips to the museum
  • Grocery Trips

Our Aides are unable to drive for clients
