Companion/ Chore Services

Most people receive care from family, friends, and community services.  Island Temporary Nursing recognizes that these options are not always available and practical.  In such cases, Island Temporary Nursing is pleased to offer well-trained Personal Assistants, Nurse Aides, and Certified Nurse Aids that can provide specialized services designed to cater to the needs of your loved ones in the most comfortable of settings, their homes.

What a Companion/ Chore Aide can do for you:

  • Light housekeeping (vacuum, dust, bath and kitchen clean-up, bed making and linen change, laundry, mopping and sweeping)
  • Meal preparation
  • Companionship
  • Conversing and reading to client
  • Playing games with client
  • Medication reminder

A Companion/ Chore Aide does not:

  • Do heavy cleaning duties
  • Assist with Activities of Daily living (ADLs). For ADLs, please refer to Skilled Personal Care services
  • Drive for clients
